Summer FITNESS challenge
Dates: June 12 – July 17, 2021
Join us in our summer fitness challenge! There is no time better than NOW to get in shape! Let’s do this together.
Participant Instructions
A. Set S.M.A.R.T. (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic and Time bound) goals, such as lose two pounds a week, lower your blood pressure, lose five inches every two weeks, eat vegetables/ fruits every meal, drink water daily (50% of body weight), etc.
B. Study scripture on what the Bible says about taking care of our temples, keeping healthy and fit, and try to remember a related scripture each week.
C. Create a journal, documenting your measurements and scriptures. Monitor them throughout the challenge. Measurements include:
Blood pressure
Body measurements
Body Mass Index (if possible)
Find a buddy – with the potential to save a soul. Select someone to go through the challenge with you and hold each other accountable
Read/listen to books for nutritional tips, and incorporate them into your eating plan. These will become habits.
